Inspired by my recent favourite tv drama "Winter Begonia" and the Chinese "Sugar King" Zhou Yi's traditonal Chinese sculpting skill, I decided to make this piece of Sugar Sculpture here. I have been growing up listening to my mom's Chinese Opera music and got really annoyed when I was a kid, but unexpectedly as I grow older I am fancinated by the beauty of the old Beijing Opera Actress!
After 24 hours of very delicate details, my Chinese Opea Drunken Beauty (京劇百花亭 ／貴妃醉酒） is finally done! The whole thing apart from the supporting wires is edible. This has to be one of the most detailed piece so far All clothings are made by gum paste/ fondant and handpainted.
